I would like to get my maid's grandaughter into a good school nearby, but according to the RTE, the relevant contact person is the BEO. She living in Vijayanagar, Bangalore would like to be told where it is and where to contact him. To take advantage of the quota under economically weaker sections of society, to get a letter from the revenue department is also not a small task.

Actually there is now ample scope for harassment and corruption. Why can't the procedure be made simple without having to go to government offices where the poor will only be fleeced more.
