District Inspector of Schools of Rayagada Jagabandhu Das and Head Clerk Bijay Kumar Jena in the office of the DI of Schools were arrested by Vigilance officers for taking bribe in their office premises on Wednesday.

Das and Jena were caught red-handed after accepting bribes of `2,000 and `3,000, respectively from Headmaster of Sri Balajee ME School, Sanachandi, Rayagada, K Rushi Naidu for issue of a cheque of his revised arrear pay. The

bribe amounts were recovered from Das’ pant pocket and Jena’s table drawer.
