Conditional NOCs given to new schools

IT@School initiative lauded

The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has lauded the State's IT@School programme for conducting a training in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for visually challenged teachers. Human Resource Department Secretary Anshu Vaish, in a letter sent to the State General Education Secretary on September 12, termed it ‘a welcome step towards inclusion.'

Learning computers to be made mandatory in primary schools

Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rubb said on Monday that computer education would be made mandatory in lower and upper primary schools.

Addressing a press conference here, the Minister said that the broad band connections would be extended to 9,355 government upper and lower primary schools as part of the plan to impart computer education.
