The Schemes under School & Mass Education are broadly categorized under the subsector

 On the eve of Unversal Children’s day,i.e. on 20^th November, voluntary organizations and steering committee on education have planned out for a rally to raise issues on RTE in the state capital.

 (6% to public education+3% to health)

 The second meeting of state RTE Forum will be held on 11^th November. Organizations working exclusively on Right to organization will participate in this meeting.

 Notifications and guidelines have been prepared to show that appropriate actions have been taken to streamline elementary education system in the state but the situation in government run ashram schools, corruption in management and the standard of Kasturva Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) have attributed serious questions to the education department.

 Every year, around 1 million children get enrolled in schools of Odisha but 20% of them touch college verandah. The huge drop-out has been a grave concern for the state these years.

 For the Odisha Government, regularization of services of Siksha   sahayakas was a major achievement. The government also propagated it to show its accountability to implement RTE. But the teachers are being unpaid for about 11 months and still teaching in classrooms.
